Alaqua Lakes hosts a variety of social activities and events for children and adults throughout the year. In addition to these events held at the community pavilion area, Alaqua Lakes also has an active Ladies Association which hosts numerous charitable fundraising and social gatherings throughout the year.

Resort-Style Pool
Our community has a resort-style swimming pool, complete with changing facilities close by. The lush landscaping and palm trees surrounding the pool provide a peaceful, tropical environment in which to relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine. A sun shade canopy complements the separate wading pool for our babies and toddlers.

Har-Tru Tennis Courts
Tennis enthusiasts will appreciate the 5 Har-Tru tennis courts which are lighted to allow play day or night. Our full-time Tennis Pro, Charlie O’Brien, and his team are available for private lessons.

Our community playground is an indispensable gathering space for children and parents. Community playgrounds provide children the opportunity to practice and hone key social and physical skills. Children are constantly learning through play—making new friends, sharing, taking turns and interacting with other children.

7-acre Community Park
Residents can enjoy the amenities of a unique 7-acre community park, including an open-air Pavilion that is perfect for community and private gatherings or a simple family picnic. Our multi-purpose field may be used for soccer or baseball, and is the perfect place for families to enjoy sports activities together. Adults and children alike will enjoy shooting hoops on the basketball court or playing a game of volleyball on the soft, sandy volleyball court. Little ones will delight in the fully equipped playground, which provides two play areas, a swing set and play equipment for crawling, climbing and sliding.
